Who is SharetheirStory for?
Anyone who has a loved one for which they would want to capture stories of their life and enshrine in writing in a beautiful keepsake book.
Why does SharetheirStory exist?
Many of us pass through life without ever capturing in writing the events and experiences we have with people along the way. Quite often we have family members or friends that leave us having made such a positive impact on the world yet it is never captured. SharetheirStory provides the platform for these stories to be captured and formed into a keepsake that can be passed through the generations.
What is SharetheirStory?
It is a business that provides a process and platform for life stories to be collected about a person, compiling them into a printed book which creates a written legacy of a person.
When would I choose SharetheirStory?
You may have just lost a loved one and want to capture stories of their life so they are not lost or forgotten?
A loved one may be unwell or palliative and you want to bring together stories of their life and share it with them.
A loved one may be soon having a milestone birthday and you want to gift them a book of stories about them from their favourite people.
Who is involved in this process?
Customer – This is you. A family member, or friend of someone for which you seek a beautiful written keepsake of stories, memories and reflections.
Contributors – Contributors are the actual story-tellers. They are trusted people hand-picked by the family/friend to share stories of their chosen loved one.
SharetheirStory – This is us. SharetheirStory has created the process and framework for the stories to be collected, reviewed and compiled. We are her to support and guide you during the process.
How much does it cost and what does it include?
- 1 to 20 Contributions: $300.00
- Greater than 20 Contributions: $500.00
The cost includes access to the SharetheirStory platform, platform review of contributions prior to being printed, one A4 hard cover printed memory book.
What sort of stories should be shared?
SharetheirStory is after positive, meaningful stories of events, happenings in someone’s life. Memories of actual events. They should be positive. They should not be rude or defaming. Whilst tributes are ok as well, we are generally seeking stories of events. The website guides your contributors through this.
Are the stories checked upon submission?
We have built in processes to review content that is submitted for negative or expletive explicit content. We have technology to scan all written stories / contributions at the time of submission. Some Contributors may be requested to review their own content and re-submit.
How long are the stories and photographs stored?
Once submissions are received they are scanned again. The Customer has final review of the compiled content.
Who owns the information/stories that are shared by Contributors?
The paying customer owns the content that is shared. SharetheirStory is the process for collection and compilation of this information.
How long is content kept by SharetheirStory?
SharetheirStory will securely maintain content that is shared for 3 months after the project is completed. All information collected will be sent to the Customer as their property at the time of the project being finalized.
